design and positioning, we also have specialized integrated production facilities.

The ELAC story began in 1926. Our original acoustic expertise was gained in the field of underwater communication, but since 1948 ELAC has been all about music. In that year we launched the PW1 turn­table, the first of more than 4 million turntables sold worldwide.

In 1957 ELAC revolutionised the market with a patent for the world's first moving-coil stereo phono cartridge and in 1984, ELAC launched its first innovative loudspeaker.
